a great sales girl at Barney’s introduced me to THE to-die for practical over-the-knee boot.

Roberto Del Carlo.

My pair are taupe, and I could walk from JFK to La Guardia in these babies.  Such a great find.

time out new york

For the new visitors that might be stopping by due to my mug popping up in your new issue of Time Out New York – thank you SO much for visiting!  It’s been an exciting day as the issue a. showed up at my office b. resulted in my boss calling me “media star” for a while.  Lots of blushing on my end.

I leave you with two things – 1.  I hope you will visit again, and tell me about humanitarian issues you see in New York, and the rest of the world.  I would love to cover them from my perspective.

2.  Since it is the new-age of social media, here is a tweet from Carine Roitfeld, Editor-in-Chief of French Vogue.

crisis couture loves cutler

Another trip to Cutler Salon, another satisfied me.  Seriously – the people at this hair heaven are kind, conscientious, and genuinely interested in their clients.  For the past several years, that has meant hugs, laughs and life-catch-ups with Jenny Balding.  Commanding color by Ben Stewart (like the Sandra-Bullock-at-the-Oscars chocolate I’m now sporting after my mid-day appointment), and today most recently –  one of the best blow-outs I’ve ever received, courteousy of Dax.

Our culture within the walls of our 57th street salon, a very special place we call home. It is there that we are nurturing a vibrant, creative community, where the many talents of a select few fuse together to form a hybrid talent which is greater than any of its single components. This talent evolves constantly by means of our endeavors.

prada, please.
